BITS ON CHIPS
1) A one-day basic course is developed for those who work in the non-technical disciplines of semiconductors, e.g. management, marketing and sales, or software development. It is ideal for people with little or no technical background in integrated circuits, but who need an understanding of their complexity, their operation, their possibilities and limitations to better communicate with their technical contacts.
2) A 3-day course is developed as a comprehensive tutorial on state-of-the-art CMOS ICs for product, test and failure analysis engineers; process engineers and those who have to write and read product specifications, test samples, discuss technical details with suppliers and customers, etc. and others who need an thorough understanding of chip development. Level: Technical college or university level.
3) A 4-day course is available for IC designers who need a thorough understanding of CMOS Integrated circuits, from physics, through processing, layout, test, performance and reliability to applications.
One-day course
General info
*** This course starts 08.30 and ends about 17.30. (sometimes even 18.00). At the end of the course the participants can get an official certificate.
*** This course is particularly developed as a comprehensive tutorial on the basics of integrated circuits (chips) for people who work in the non-technical disciplines of semiconductor companies: management, marketing and sales, logistics, IT, software development and other individuals with little or no technical background in integrated circuits, These people are more and more confronted with typical semiconductor terminology and abbreviations but lack the background knowledge to understand their colleagues, customers and suppliers. A basic understanding of Integrated Circuits (chips), their operation, their possiblilities and limitations will enable them to better communicate with their technical contacts in the field, as well as to put their own job in a much broader perspective.
Three-day course
General info
*** This course starts 8.30 and ends about 18.30 (sometimes even 19.00). It includes a few exercises during the day, but no final examination. At the end of the course, the participants will get an official certificate.
*** This course is meant as a comprehensive tutorial on selected subjects of state-of-the-art CMOS ICs for engineers working in R&D centres of semiconductor lithography and fabrication houses (e.g. ASML, Applied Materials, TSMC, Global Foundries, Samsung, Micron technology, etc.).
Four-day course
General info
*** This course starts 8.30 and ends about 17.30 (sometimes even 18.00). It includes exercises during day and in the evening. At hte end of the course, the participants can get an official certificate.
*** This course is targeted at system and IC designers, CMOS process engineers, engineers active in IC simulation, verification, test, reliability, design methods, engineers working in electronic product development and all others who need a thorough understanding of the complete development chain of CMOS integrated Circuits and products.
